Also, now Update Manager will not work. I get a "Not all updates can be
installed" error message. There are two options - "Partial Upgrade" and
"Close". I did not try Partial Upgrade, clicking Close bring up another
error dialog "Software Index is broken. It is impossible to install or
remove any software. ........run sudo apt-get install -f". When try that
in a terminal, it just tries to remove vsftpd, and fails with the same
messages.
