[Bug 545142] [NEW] Lucid's puppet unable to make a certificate signing request to Hardy's Puppet

Ok might be similar to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/puppet/+bug/213842 but unsure.
I have a puppetmaster running on Ubuntu hardy, and a Lucid guest that I try to use puppet with. The server will never receive the signing requests from Lucid's client.

In the logs on puppetmaster I found this:
[2010-03-23 14:35:04] 10.0.10.108 - - [23/Mar/2010:14:35:04 GMT] "GET /production/certificate_request/10.0.10.108 HTTP/1.1" 404 324

Which seems to imply that the URL the client used to do its signing requests to has changed... 
Is that known not to work? If I upgrade my puppetmaster to lucid, will I still be able to manage my Hardy VMs?
