The window to incorporate new upstream releases in lucid was closed
around February.  The new package will automatically be added to
maverick once the window for it opens.

Are there particular bug fixes you would like to see backported?  Then
please follow https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates  Let me know
if that is what you want to do.
