Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: nmap
Running "nmap -sP -vv 192.168.1.*|grep up" on Maverick returns this:
Host is up (0.00029s latency).
Host is up (0.0024s latency).
Nmap done: 256 IP addresses (6 hosts up) scanned in 21.37 seconds
When run on Lucid, the same command returns:
Host ioko.lan (192.168.1.106) is up (0.0044s latency).
Host dsldevice.lan (192.168.1.254) is up (0.0059s latency).
Nmap done: 256 IP addresses (6 hosts up) scanned in 6.57 seconds
Both result lists are cut shorter for clarity - there are six hosts on
each list.
