from the computer that i sent you those pictures from I did a redo on
all the folders though it did not nor doest have an issue finding
things from my net-book my net-book still cannot find them at all.
which it did at one time i also tried reinstalling the samba from the
net-book through synaptic this enclosed is smb.conf from the net-book.
the weird thing about all of this is it worked flawlessly up until
about a week before i sent this bug

When this is done I may also redo the samba shares. the net book is running 10:10 gnome as the desktop is running an offshoot called net-runner. sometimes i have 0 folders listed in WORKGROUP folder otherwise I receive a cannot receive windows shares message. PS there are also three other not regularly connected computers each running on windows 7 and XP which were able to connect to the mentioned net-book and desktop but as of yet I have not reconnected these computers and am not concerned about them being connected to the network at any-time.
