This isn't actually a multiarch problem.  Following the directions from
the referenced site results in installation of an i386 'libaio' package
which doesn't even match the official {libaio1,libaio-dev} packages in
the Ubuntu archive, let alone supporting multiarch.

So this is an ordinary package conflict between an official package and
an unsupported unofficial one.  I don't think there's any bug here.

If this is a library that's important to have cross-installable as a
32-bit lib on a 64-bit system, we can certainly make *converting* it to
multiarch a priority; but it's not a bug per se that it isn't yet
converted.
