[Bug 781936] [NEW] libvirtd: operation failed: failed to retrieve chardev info in qemu with 'info chardev'

Public bug reported:

Can't create a new host. After setting it up, then clicking finish I'll
get the the error: 'operation failed: failed to retrieve chardev info in
qemu with 'info chardev''

Trying the same with virsh gives the very same error: 'operation failed:
failed to retrieve chardev info in qemu with 'info chardev''

A domain '*.xml'-File isn't created. 
In 'Details' (from virt-manager) I'll find:
Installation konnte nicht fertiggestellt werden: 'operation failed: failed to retrieve chardev info in qemu with 'info chardev''

I've tried to start an other domain created some time ago, known to run:
start: domain(optdata): systemrescue
start: found option <domain>: systemrescue
start: <domain> trying as domain NAME
error: Failed to start domain systemrescue
error: operation failed: failed to retrieve chardev info in qemu with 'info chardev'
