Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better.

It looks like the error you have experienced is related to a conflict
between the packaged installation of puppet and a custom manual
installation of puppet you have in /usr/local/lib/site_ruby/1.8/puppet.

Thus this problem appears to be on your system and not a bug in Ubuntu.
Accordingly I am marking this bug as Invalid in Ubuntu.

If I am mistaken, please do explain and change the status back to New.
