[Bug 1357877] [NEW] cannot disable date and time notification

Public bug reported:

I want to disable the notifications for date and time because they take
too much space on the status line. However, unticking them via 'F9 ->
Toggle status notifications' does not make them go away. All other
notifications do not show up when I untick them in the dialog.

In ~/.byobu/status I see 'date' and 'time' as deactivated for the active
'tmux_right' setting.

My current workaround involves editing ~/.byobu/datetime.tmux and
setting those variables to "".

I have Ubuntu 14.04.1 and byobu 5.77-0ubuntu1.2. My default shell is set to fish if that makes a difference (it does for vundle).

** Affects: byobu (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
