This seems to be fixed in vivid with lxc 1.1.2:

tribaal at vivid-test:~$ apt-cache policy lxc
lxc:
  Installed: 1.1.2-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 1.1.2-0ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 1.1.2-0ubuntu1 0
