Public bug reported:
1)
$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS

2)
$ apt-cache policy maas

3) I should be able as admin to say just turn the machine off/release
even while erasing disks.
4) upon releasing a node, maas triggers an erase disk operation. The
system has three 3TB drives which will take a very long time to
complete; Webgui will not allow me (even as admin) to release the
node, or power it off while it is erasing. This effectively locks the
machine away indefinitely.
** Affects: maas (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
