[Bug 1470091] Re: update for V3 kernel bits and improved multiple fan slice support

Set up two trusty machines and two vivid machines both updated to the
appropriate -proposed and confirmed they could all be configured into
the same fans.  Also setup lxc containers on two of them and confirmed
they could talk to each other as expected.  Marking verified.
