Since Ubuntu has never shipped a mysql package version
5.6.23-1ubuntu12.04, this does not look like a bug in Ubuntu itself, but
in the packaging you had installed previously from a third party source.

Since we use this bug tracker to track bugs in Ubuntu, rather than bugs
in third party sources, I'm marking this bug as Invalid. This helps us
to focus on fixing bugs in Ubuntu.
