[Bug 1490299] Re: Environment variables "GOBIN", "GOEXE" etc. not set

I performed a fresh installation of the package 'golang' on a new
system.

I had to manually set GOPATH to point to my workspace which is
understandable.

On executing 'go install', I receive the following notice
