 Looks like in ubuntu 16.04 nmap is compiled without script support:

~$ nmap --script ssl-enum-ciphers example.com -p 443
nmap: unrecognized option '--script'
Nmap 7.01 ( https://nmap.org )
Usage: nmap [Scan Type(s)] [Options] {target specification}
....

nmap    7.01-2ubuntu1
