Sudo or NOT to sudo

No, this is not the only way to fix it. Actually, reinstall isn't a fix
at all. You can fix it by booting in single user mode and fix
your /etc/hosts and/or /etc/hostname.

Like any other program - it can be great if you know how to use it.
