$ zfs clone tank/ldom/test.gutsy.dsk at jaunty-installedtank/ldom/test.karmic.dsk
$ ldm add-vdsdev /dev/zvol/dsk/tank/ldom/test.karmic.dsk
test.karmic.dsk at primary-vds0
$ ldm add-vdisk test.dsk test.karmic.dsk at primary-vds0 test
$ ldm bind test
$ ldm start test
I then booted up this new copy of Jaunty (which was bootstrapped up from
Gutsy last week), and ran the following:
$ sudo aptitude update
$ sudo aptitude safe-upgrade
$ sudo do-release-upgrade -d
Unfortunately, the release upgrade to karmic failed, after not being able to
find a lot of packages. I've attached the full log from do-release-upgrade
and the VM's sources.list if that helps debugging.
