Welcome to the list. It might be a good idea to start checking out some 
server-papercuts at
https://bugs.launchpad.net/server-papercuts
These are bite-sized bugs or inconveniences which are not particularly 
difficult to fix. Of course as others have mentioned, you can also just 
jump in and start fixing whatever you'd like to see improved. If you 
feel lost at anytime, please email or grab me (kim0) on irc. Also, If 
you have interest in server automation and orchestration, now is a great 
time to get involved in Ensemble <https://ensemble.ubuntu.com/> as well. 
It's something that I'm particularly interested in. Hope that was
