FYI, I recently uploaded to unstable/yakkety a fix to python-git which should
fix the failure that I noticed when importing the sbuild package (due to
non-utf-8 characters in the historical record of changelog entries).

I also pushed and proposed the following branch, which should provide some
additional information when things go bad.
