This is fixed in Lunar and Frank Heimes apparently wants it backported back
to Jammy. I did nothing about this bug but decided to share it here.

This bug was triaged by Sergio and I and the reporter is asking if there
are other ways to block websocket requests, since I am not a squid user I
do not know what to answer. Shared here to see if someone else knows it.
