[Ubuntu-SG] My ubuntu crashed out on me, pls help.

If you cannot boot into the recovery partition through grub, another
possibility is to boot-up using the 8.10 CD-ROM you have. Sometimes, the
boot CD-ROM is pretty smart to check your harddisk and resolve the
problem(s).
