[Ubuntu-SG] Using 10.04 Desktop on a netbook

Hi there. This is my first post to this list. I'm currently using Ubuntu NBR 9.1 on a Lenovo S10 netbook & it works well. My only gripe is the limited windowing options with the resizing of windows etc. I'm considering installing the desktop version of 10.04 on the netbook. Has anyone used the Desktop edition on a netbook? What is the user experience like?
