Welcome to the Ubuntu-SG mailing list. I'd also like to invite you to lurk at
the (currently dead) #ubuntu-sg channel on irc.freenode.net. I'm hyperair there.

That's great news. At least someone knows how to appreciate a good operating
system. >:D
You should invite your classmate along, too. It's always nice to hear from other
Ubuntu users.
By the way, since you're in NUS, you might be interested to go and seek out the
NUS Hackers[1], which were formerly known as LinuxNUS. There are some Linux
enthusiasts there.

That's really great -- we really need help in that area actually. Unfortunately,
most of us are pretty busy with our own lives right now and haven't been able to
maintain those, which is why we resorted to having a WordPress Hello World
thingy there on ubuntu.sg.
This is also why we haven't had a single Ubuntu event in Singapore since.. err
~2 years ago, on Software Freedom Day.

That sounds good. How about dropping by HackerspaceSG[2] sometime? I'm usually
there after hours on weekdays, and you can join us for dinner.
We might even be able to hold our first Ubuntu meetup in a very long time. \o/

Count me in. :-) We can organize some events at HackerspaceSG or something.
Ideas are welcome, of course.
