I'm sorry to hear that you are having a difficult time with the debian
maintainer, I noticed BTS #508467, please wait for the debian maintainer
to make this change.

This merge also fixes bug #304443. I am fixing that bug temporarily in Ubuntu because of the fact that Debian maintainer is neglecting it.
