Indeed, I am working with the rest of the DPMT (which I joined recently)
on this.

The initial upload was (rightfully) rejected because it was just the
pypi distribution. This one will build from the swig build, and so
should be acceptable to upload into Debian.

I opened this to make sure its clear that the package needs packaging
and to link to the ITP in Debian.

python-libgearman is a python wrapper for libgearman. It offers higher performance than native python drivers and utilizes the library published by the gearman-job-server package.
