[Bug 1373349] [NEW] Please sync stable meld 3.12 version from Debian unstable (Ubuntu 14.10 includes unstable meld 3.11.4)

You have been subscribed to a public bug by Mantas Kriaučiūnas (mantas):

meld 3.11.3 as included in Utopic 14.10 (and hence Ubuntu-Mate 14.10b1)
is from the UNSTABLE branch of meld development.

Trusty (14.04) includes meld 1.8.4 - a stable release from meld.

However Utopic (14.10) does not include 1.8.6 - the current stable
release of meld.  Instead it includes meld 3.11.3 - an Unstable
Development version of meld (leading to a future 3.12 release version).
