Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a
specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu
in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source
packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs
about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your
bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage.
You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on
Libera.chat.
To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/2054151/+editstatus and add the
package name in the text box next to the word Package.

Title:
New http_relay package for Noble (for Robotics community)
Status in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
The http_relay package is small python package that acts as reverse
HTTP proxy for for HTTP get requests from localhost to a remote host.
Package PPA:
https://code.launchpad.net/~j-rivero/+archive/ubuntu/http-relay/+packages
Bzr repository:
https://code.launchpad.net/~j-rivero/+junk/http-relay
[Other info]
I have the package ready on Debian https://salsa.debian.org/python-team/packages/http_relay
but the sponsoring process has taken longer than expected. It would be great to have the
package in 24.04 (feature freeze is coming soon) so it is probably easier to import it
directly in Noble.
[Justification]
The package was questioned to be needed and other alternatives were asked during its
inclusion in the ROS (Robot Operative System) ecosystem but the author explained that
no valid alternative was found in pip or among Debian/Ubuntu packages. The ROS Community
ended up suggestion to include it as a Debian/Ubuntu package:
