Hi there,

I had a look at good ol'gnome-network-admin and here are my comments.
Note: till now I didn't install Studio from the iso so I'm used to 
nm-applet. My questions are probably not specific to Maverick and some 
may have already been addressed, sorry for this and thanks for your 
comprehension.

   1. Network config changes are written, but are not automatically 
applied. I tried unchecking/checking the connection, locking/unlocking 
the window, nothing worked in the first place (couldn't ping Google). 
Closing the Network window and popping a terminal to sudo 
/etc/init.d/networking restart is the only thing I found to apply new 
connection parameters. Is this expected?! What's the normal GUI way?

   2. Configuring a wired connection works

   3. Configuring a wireless connection works, but is a pain: a. the 
dropdown menu for "Network name" is not populated, meaning the user has 
to know the ESSID he wants to connect to, and b. the password type is 
not guessed from the ESSID. Fine at home where I know the name of my 
router and the kind of encryption, but how am I supposed to connect to a 
hotspot?

   4. DHCP should be the default in the various connection screens. At 
the moment the default is static IP address, which (almost) nobody ever uses
