hi all,

first of all excuse me for my bad english (sorry, i'm an italian user). :)

I connected my midi keyboard (cme uf8+cme uf400e audio card) to laptop after fresh installation of os, with a firewire pcmcia card.

The question is:
simply dont'found my external audio device in the Jack Audio Connection Kit setup for starting jackd with correct interface, but only the internal audio devices.

In the Settings pane, Interface menu, see only:
hw:0 HDA Intel
hw:0,0 AD 198x Analog
hw:0,1 AD 198x Digital

There's a FreeBoB driver problem with my fw pcmcia card or another issue or a post install procedure that must follow to enable the ext audio card after installed ubuntustudio?

I try also to search for help, and find some info on my devices and freebob drvs:

- Cme UF400e expansion card installed is "essentially a Terratec's Phase24", like reported here:
http://www.cme-pro.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=29&extra=page%3D1

- I read here that card fully work with firewire support of FreeBoB project (aka Ffado): http://freebob.sourceforge.net/index.php/List_of_Supported_Devices

This is some of my lspci output lines, if useful to solve my problem:

00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 02)
15:00.0 CardBus bridge: Texas Instruments PCI1510 PC card Cardbus Controller
16:00.0 FireWire (IEEE 1394): VIA Technologies, Inc. IEEE 1394 Host Controller (rev 80)

I hope to solve, thx in advance for any answer.
Pierdo.
