How to upgrade from Ubuntu 10.10 to Ubuntu Studio 10.10?

i would suggest opening a package manager (synaptic, or whatever your
comfortable with) and search ubuntustudio... there you will see all the
meta-packages that are included in ubuntustudio, and you can read about what
they are, and what they do, and ask about a specific one here if you dont
know what it is/does... there are a couple things in normal ubuntu that are
not in ubuntustudio, but i would not worry about those... i usually install
ubuntustudio-audio and ubuntustudio-audio-plugins... some of the packages
are for theme-ing, which looks great, but might be something you are not
interested in changing on your machine... you can always just install what
software you want like JACK and ardour for example OR blender and the gimp
and not worry with the ubuntustudio meta packages... let us know if you have
