[ubuntu-studio-users] Unable to sometimes paste from clipboard

Yes I have had the same problem.  It seems as though it is pasting to specific programs but I never kept up with which ones.

Sometimes when I try to copy some text, it goes onto the clipboard but cannot be pasted anywhere. I have ClipIt 1.4.2 installed which stores all things copied, and then I can select from its list anything to paste. But a lot of the time, when trying to paste something, it will not paste. It copies okay, it is listed in ClipIt, but nothing allows me to paste, including using Ctrl V, right clicking mouse and selecting Paste, or selecting Paste from the menu in the program. This is happening with lots of programs and with various things being copied, e.g. a few numbers, a few sentences, website URLs, etc.

I am using Ubuntu Studio 14.04.


Is anyone else having a problem pasting text into programs?
