One way to search for a solution is to use the Ubuntu package search
for Vivid 15.04 lightdm packages.
http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?suite=vivid§ion=all&arch=any&keywords=lightdm&searchon=names
shows
lightdm-gtk-greeter (likely, but not necessarily the greeter you are
using)
also available
lightdm-kde-greeter
lightdm-webkit-greeter
razorqt-lightdm-greeter
Follow the linkx and if you've good luck you'll get screenshots
http://screenshots.debian.net/package/lightdm-gtk-greeter
http://screenshots.debian.net/package/lightdm-kde-greeter
If not continue web research

Perhaps another display manager provides the wanted feature, search for
screenshots of KDE greeter, aka KDM, GNOME greeter aka GDM, respl.
search for Linux display manager.
This one seems to provide what you want:

It's MDM, Mint so there liekely is a repository somewhere to get it.
There seems also an Ubuntu greeter available providing this feature:

Perhaps it's the Unity greeter.

Perhaps different settings and themes are related to the feature to
display a list of users.
Did you once use a greeter that provided it?
