Try mv -i ~/.local/share/applications ~/.local/share/applications.bak then log out and in again. Maybe this isn't related to the issue, if it shouldn't help, you could undo it by running mv -f ~/.local/share/applications.bak ~/.local/share/applications Regards, Ralf
