I will try, but now I don't have a Ubuntu 10.04 CD.
Anyway I am sure it is a problem with my empathy configuration or any other program running on the computer.

In fact, I have been able to use empathy for a time in 9.10, before it start to crash my computer.
Also, after updating to 10.04, I get it working one more time, but next day the crash rreturn.

Also I would like to say that the empathy window appears in my computer and the state changed to Available. Then it hangs.
I am using spanish translation and 64 bits.


Since it is a very hard to find bug, I would like to know if there is a way of debugging or trace why it is happening.
Also, where configuration files are saved, to delete them completely and try again.
