Thanks for your bug report and helping to make Ubuntu better.  We
currently know nothing about the version of empathy you are using or
steps to reproduce your issue.  In a terminal please type "apport-
collect 707946" and it will automatically post information here about
your system and the versions of the software.  Also, in empathy go to
help-->debug and find gabble (jabber) and paste the log from there into
this bug as well.  Please include some steps to reproduce your issue.
