Jedna et all, I have found that the code for implementing OTR in Telepathy.Gabble is complete as shown here:

Which will mean support for OTR in Google chat, Jabber, XMPP, and FaceBook. It is just the work for integration into Empathy that needs to be completed, I am waiting to here back from Jprvita on how that is going.
