[Bug 1041170] [NEW] Empathy main menu has random checkmarks

Public bug reported:

The empathy main menu has check marks for menu actions which should not
have them.

Moreover, the one in front of Contacts and Rooms vanishes when moving
the mouse over it from the bottom ...
