[Bug 1065176] [NEW] first message not showing in gnome message bar

Public bug reported:

when using xmpp(gtalk) when a message comes in from a new contact(in
contact list and not) the notification sound goes off and the user shows
in the message bar but the message text does not, show for the first
line they sent.

example using gmail.com

Someone: Hi

Someone: How are you?

Me: Fine

Example using Empathy:

Someone: How are you?

Me: Fine
