  Upstream is 3.12.4, Debian is 3.12.4-1, Ubuntu is 3.8.6-0ubuntu12

+ empathy 3.12 brings in many bug fixes over 3.8.6 that is currently in
+ utopic, this update was somehow overlooked earlier however it does not
+ use GtkHeaderBars and CSD's so from a UI perspective would be fine for
+ ubuntu-desktop.

+ We have had this release on the gnome3 ppa's for the best part of a
+ cycle and there are no major issues with it. In the last few days a few
+ of the -desktop team have played around with it also and not found any
+ critical issues.
