[ubuntu-uk] Can I disable the power button?

Is it Gnome Power Manager?

If you go to System --> Preferences --> Power Management you should have
the dialog I spoke of. Also there is a radio button for displaying the
icon in the notification area. The icon in the notification are you have
now probably isn't Gnome Power Manager.
