A+ is a good basic grounding in most things to do with computers mostly
aimed at hardware and windows with basic entries for linux unix and osx.
It's an entry course for more advanced stuff basically.
The course covers a lot of stuff and is fairly good in order to progress
from it. Because of the way the exam works you are primed for things
like Networking+ CCNA MSCE and others.
Hope that helps
