[ubuntu-uk] EXT3 or EXT4

Hi folks,
I've decided that I need a clear out of some of the junk on my laptop so
I'm going to do a fresh install from scratch, most probably with Ubuntu
10.04 32-Bit (was considering 10.10 but I'm probably going to wait for a
Beta before trying it, or try it in Virtual Box).
I had my old hard drive formatted as EXT4 and found that it was slower
but it seems that was down to a failing drive rather than being EXT4.
Now at the moment I've got my drive formatted to EXT3, I gather I can
convert from EXT3 to EXT4 (but I'm going to reformat the drive anyway)
but I wondered basically if I might be better going for EXT4 this time?
If it helps, I have a lot of large video files on my hard drive (at
least about 200GB of them) which are things like home videos (I've
borrowed a drive to back these up on to for the time being, yes I know I
should back these up elsewhere too, this is part of my plan for next
week, backing them up onto loads of DVDs).
So considering the large files, would anyone recommend EXT3 or EXT4?
Rob
