[ubuntu-uk] Language spell check firefox

This is happening to me in xubuntu but it also happened to me in Ubuntu.

I speak to languages English and Spanish, when I set the spell check on 
the system of Ubuntu Firefox lets me choose from all the different 
variations of the English and Spanish languages there is (Australian, 
American, ... Puerto-rican, Colombian, ...)

How do I limit the amount of options to English UK and Spanish Spain? 
Thus not having to look through a huge list of options?

Currently my language support tool says only engilsh UK and spanish 
castillian is ticked. Menus et al are listed first in spanish then in 
english GB then english. Regional settings are set for Spanish.
