My understanding is you'll have the same version more or less. Can't
vouch for any customisations but I am in the same position and that's
my understanding!

Subject: [ubuntu-uk] Regular updates, and alpha/beta releases .....
Hi there .... This is probably a stupid question. I've been using
Precise 12.04 ever since the beginning of Alpha 1. I installed it for
testing, but found it so stable I have been using it on a day to day
basis ever since. I have taken the updates on a daily basis, watched it
as it changed, and filed bug reports as needed.
My question: is what I am now using exactly the same as if I took the
Alpha 2 release and updated this? And when we get to April release
date, will I then have an installation exactly the same as the newly
released Precise Pangolin, or ought I to re-install? Clearly, I don't
yet understand how the alpha/beta/release process works.
Kind regards, Barry.
