Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:

Debian has updated maintainer field and has added LSB dependency header. 
So ubuntu changes can be dropped. 


Changelog since current intrepid version 0.8.4.4ubuntu2:

qwik (0.8.4.4-0.1) unstable; urgency=low

  * Non-maintainer upload to solve release goal.
  * Add LSB dependency header to init.d scripts (Closes: #470109).
