Greetings to all members,

Last Sunday we held our Hardy Release Parties in Phoenix and Tucson, and
they were a big success. A total of 25 people attended, and that
represents about a quarter of our registered members, and a significant
increase over our last release party for Gutsy. Release parties give us
a chance not only to celebrate another great version of Ubuntu, but to
meet up with established friends and new members.

Friendship, fun and food were the order of the day, and I think everyone
had a great time. We owe a big round of "Thanks" to Craig(tyche) and
Kenny(kennymc) for all they did to organize the Phoenix party. We could
not have succeeded without their help.

Our next event will be installfests for the Hardy release. Plans are
firming up for that as you read this. They are going to be around the
middle of May, and I will have a wiki page up shortly, outlining what
has already been decided, and what we still need to do. As always, we
need your help to make these events successful.

If you haven't been participating, now is your chance to get involved
and help us advocate for Ubuntu and open source. We have a great group
of volunteers, who are working constantly to help inform the general
population of the benefits of Ubuntu and open source.

Drop into the team channel(#ubuntu-us-az on the freenode.net server)
anytime and get to know us. w00t!!

Regards,
John aka johnc4510
