[Ubuntu-US-CA] IRC Meeting 7PM Today and Installfest Location Issue

Heya Guys!

Just wanted to send out a reminder about our IRC meeting today, Sunday
October 21st, 2007 at 7PM in #ubuntu-california on irc.freenode.net

We're going to go over the progress on our team logo, and our first Install
fest, which conflicts with a relatively large event on my campus:

I may have run into some trouble with setting up the room for this Saturday.
Apparently there's a capus-wide "Discover Chapman" event going on (which
wasn't on the [http://web.chapman.edu/events/calendar.aspx calendar]) and
may conflict with our plans for a room. The president of our ACM chapter was
helping me get the room, and he left me a message about it Friday night. I'm
going to call the Calendaring Office to see what's going on, but from what
he told me, things aren't looking good. Anyway, I'll be at the meeting
tonight to discuss where we should go from here, and as usual,
ideas/suggestions are welcome.


Until I call the Calendaring Office and confirm that there really are no
open rooms, it seems that the options are to either host it at an alternate
location or push it back a bit, which may or may not work depending on
everyone's schedule. Send a reply to the list and show up to the meeting,
and we'll work this out just fine.
