[Ubuntu Chicago] Flourish 2009 - Ubuntu Chicago Table

Guys,

I have a Dell Laptop that has Ubuntu 8.10 installed. It's has not been used
for over 6 months. I forgot what the login and password was. How can I
retrieve or bypass the login & password?

The laptop was not being used because it was not recognizing wireless
networks. Anyone having this problem?
