[Ubuntu Chicago] Ubuntu Hour

I am not a dev but would really like to brainstorm Ubuntu promotion in the community, and what we can do locally to squash Ubuntu Bug #1. Problem is, I work nights and have Thursdays and Fridays off. Also, I live in the far NW burbs, beyond Buffalo Grove, although travel is not a concern.
I'm up for a Thursday or even Friday thing just about anywhere in the Chicago area.

Hey everyone,

A few of us were discussing the idea of holding an Ubuntu hour once a
month. During this so-called hour, we could hang out, talk Ubuntu, learn a
few tricks, hack on something, fix a bug, and most importantly, socialize.

Now we know that Chicago is big, and because of this, and the fact Ubuntu
Chicago is somewhat developer heavy, we have coverage in the following
areas:

 * NW Burbs: Nathan Handler (Buffalo Grove)
 * City: Micah Gerstan (City, west side? off of Chicago I think)
 * W Burbs: Me (Bloomingdale/Carol Stream)

Any devs in the southern viewing area? I know you are still on here Brian
Grizzle, err Green. You know your shizzy even if you aren't an Ubuntu dev.

Who would show up for such a thing? We could do them simultaneously,
doesn't matter, as long as we would get people to hang out for an hour or
so at a local coffee shop, book store, wherever.

Could be any night of the week, so I could do a Tuesday night for instance,
and Nathan could do a Friday night, and Micah a a Thursday night. That is
just for an idea, nothing solid of course. Let us know what you think!
