OK, I'll try my best to tell you about it.
We mainly participate in the FIRST FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition). A
non-profit organization started by Dean Kamen (the inventor of the segway)
to interest kids in Science and Technology) Every year we fund raise and
"collect" local sponsor companies in the hopes that we can compete. Every
year we are given a challenge that we must complete within certain rules. We
only have six weeks to build and test a fully functional (hopefully) robot.
It really gives us an inside look at the engineering world. It's really fun
too.

We do other stuff as well, however FRC takes up a lot of our time.
we have a small website at http://tvrobotics.googlepages.com for anyone
interested.
We are hoping to go to Championships in Atlanta this year. It takes $6,000
to register and get a main kit of parts for a regional competition, and
another $5,000 to register for championships + travel and hotel expenses. If
anyone knows of any companies that would be willing to help out... it's
always needed and appreciated.
It's always a blast for visitors every year. FIRST encourages us to invite
people to the competitions. So, try and reserve DATE 3/27/2008 - 3/29/2008
to be free. If That's not possible, try to at least make it the last day. (i
believe it's a Saturday) It will be at DU's Richie center.
P.s. If anyones interested I can keep trying to get permission for CoLoCo to
have a booth to hand out CD's and show off Ubuntu. There are lots of people
that attend that are really into Science, Technology, and for some Linux
too.
